About the School

The Center for Visual Arts is a fine arts school that focuses on teaching drawing, painting, and sculpture. We offer classes for ages 3-adult, summer camps, birthday parties for children and adults, group events such as girl and boy scouts, home school programs, and private lessons.

The Center for Visual Arts was established in 1998. The art center was located on Montauk Hwy in Blue Point until 2004. In early 2004 the art center was moved to it’s current location on Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point. The art center is located in the historic Madison House, the building just south of The Bayport-Blue Point Library.

Students of all ages who attend classes have a passion for art and need no prior formal training in the visual arts. Typically our class size is up to 15 students. The environment is non-competitive and nurturing.
